first-aid

It was an eventful weekend for us and as a result the Monday Morning Coming Down post should be above par this week.  But first, our top story:  Jeff is hurt…  Here’s his brave report.

Jeff- I have scratched my cornea trying to put in my contact. I am going to bow out of MMCD this week and I am heading to the eye doctor. Cheers! Update: I have an ulcer on my eye! Yay me.

Amazing, he’s keeping a positive attitude despite this awful tragedy.  For the rest of our response to the ever burning question of how we spent a week’s worth of life with beer head over to the full post, and we love hearing what everyone else had in the comments.  Please, be our enablers.

Justin – Friday night I hit a local bar and had an Arrogant Bastard and a Guinness before seeing Star Trek with some friends. Afterwards I drank Yuengling with Jeff until the wee hours of the morning. Saturday evening, Jeff and I bottled Rough Draft’s first home brew, Rusty Nugget Irish Ale. It’ll be ready for consumption in about two weeks and we’re pretty excited about it. While bottling, I tried Dogfish Head’s Aprihop, which is a slightly fruity IPA with a little lighter finish than most of the heavily hopped beers on the market.

Danny - Friday I had some serious cleaning to do and Half Acre (both the pale and the lager) ensured that not only did I do it with a smile on my face, but also that I would do a half-assed job.  Saturday was the day of a very big visit for me.  The remainder of the previous nights Half Acre was finished before a trip down to the local Hofbrauhaus where I had a couple large mugs of Dunkel to calm my anxiety and gain a bit of the courage.  Taking my own advice a couple of Deliriums were on hand to showcase my love for Belgians and then it was off to sushi.  Rogue’s Mirimoto Sabo was the beer of choice as they no longer served Asahi.  I was not disappointed.  Finally, on Sunday, we made it to one of the few local establishments that carry Nefarious Ten Pin (winner of the unofficial ‘Danny’s Favorite American Beer Award’ for the last three years straight).
