Rough Draft regular and good friend Stalemem recently threw a write up on Dragon’s Milk our way.   With a subject line reading “Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society”, it was sure to grab our attention.  Now, in an RD first, we give you our first guest post.

Dare I say I’m smitten? I’ve recently found a new crush of sorts, and her name is Dragon’s Milk, a milk stout crafted by New Holland Brewery.  Before I delve into why I’m head over heals, here is a brief description taken from New Holland’s site http://bit.ly/irqiG

“A barrel-aged stout with a soft and rich caramel-malt character intermingled with deep vanilla tones dancing in an oak bath. Unmistakably distinctive and hauntingly remarkable, Dragon’s Milk’s warming complexity pairs well with smoked meats and cheeses, red meat, or a nice cigar. Year Round Availability. Cheeses to try: Rich bleu cheeses & triple crèmes.

23° P o.g., 10 % a.b.v”

Its a strong stout with a nice bourbon aftertaste. After drinking a few of these you’ll believe you’re St. George himself. Her two flaws are that she isn’t a cheap date, and that she isn’t widely available. But that just makes our affairs that much more intense. Take it from me, if you can find a bottle it’ll be one tit you won’t regret suckling.
